Our sound collective is called Izanusi.

IZANUSI divine with sound and word, opening portals that create space for mutual recognition and collective healing. Our approach is improvisational and continuous with the sonic traditions of iingoma zamagqirha, umombelo,  whilst also fusing and exploring the vast sonic possibilities of indiginous vibration or isingqi.

We engage with sound as a gateway to bridge time and space, the realm of the living and that of the ancestors, and through our sonic transmittions we seek to reestablish spiritual order and harmony within self, community and world.
