Val De Vie: Official Opening

The official opening of the outdoor photography exhibition at Val de Vie took place on 17 October, featuring curator Anelisa Mangcu of Under the Aegis in conversation with Marion Dixon, senior art specialist at Strauss and Co. The talented pair discussed the intriguing topic of the art of collecting photography. Anelisa also engaged artist Zanele Muholi in illuminating discourse about their career, work, and a strong focus on education.

‘Freedom, I dream up for myself and others’ features era-defining works by top-tier masters of photography and the open-air exhibition was widely lauded during its time on the cultured streets of Stellenbosch. This captivating exploration of visual language that bridges gaps between cultures and inspires empathy and connection has now been moved to The Yard at Val De Vie Estate where it will be shown publicly for a year.
